Dahican Beaches (Dahican, Mati, Davao Oriental)

We went here in April 2022 to celebrate my classmate's 18th birthday. That was my first time in Dahican, Mati, and the experience was surreal.

We stayed and celebrated at Bahay Kubo Beach Resort

Beach wise it isn't that appealing since the beach is rocky, which makes it difficult to enjoy, especially when there are waves that constantly slap you. It is also notable that it is a low tide from mid-afternoon until late evening, so day tours are much advisable.

We just walked in the beach line for about 10mins to go to DAHICAN SURF RESORT, where we pretty much spent the entire afternoon and the next day facing the violent waves. Plus, there are no rocks there, so it is very safe to be swimming with the giant waves.

Overall, I highly recommend going on day tours since there is not much to do at night because they prohibit night swimming. If you are fond of surfing, I can guarantee that this is the beach for you.

I recommend Dahican Surf Resort over the Bahay Kubo Beach resort because the beach and waves are very different in favor of DSR. The only downside is they only have tables and chairs; there are no cottages.
